Dr Reuben Binns is an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford and a former AI research fellow at the UK's data regulator, the ICO. He studies how algorithms make decisions about people's work, pay and rights. His 2025 study with Worker Info Exchange used drivers' own Uber data to show how algorithmic pricing changed what drivers earn and what passengers pay.
