Who we are

The Inference Podcast and this website are run by Codedevza AI Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16485057. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@inferencepodcast.co.uk.

What we collect

If you apply to be a guest, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, whether you are a founder, investor, researcher or operator, your company or institution, a link, what you built, the opinion you hold and where you are based, together with the time you ticked the box on the form.

We do not run a newsletter, we do not use analytics, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs of requests to the website, such as the address a request came from and the page asked for, to keep the service running and secure.

Why we use it

We use an application only to consider whether the conversation would suit the show and to reply to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the show, and the steps you asked us to take by applying.

Who processes it for us

Railway hosts the website, its database and its file storage in the European Union. When you press play on an episode, the video is loaded from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com), and from that moment YouTube's own privacy policy applies to what YouTube collects. Nothing is loaded from YouTube before you press play.

How long we keep it

We keep an application for as long as we need it to consider it and reply, and then for no longer than two years, after which it is deleted. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period and then deleted.

Guests

If you appear on the show, we publish your name, your role and company, a short bio, the links you gave us, your photograph where we have one, the episode and what you said in it. If anything about you is inaccurate, write to us and we will correct it. Clause 8 of our Terms explains how we handle corrections.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to hello@inferencepodcast.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
